Greatness at Georgetown Middle School

  • Wednesday, July 23, 2014

To the Editor:

After watching many wonderful plays produced and choreographed by Montaree Caponiti, drama director, and Paul Inman, music director, I felt compelled to sing their praises.

In May I sat through their most recent production “Oz” and was astonished by the talent and organization of the group. Caponiti, Inman and the children of GMS worked countless hours preparing for the presentation, and they certainly did not disappoint.

You know the story of Dorothy and Toto trying to find their way home, picking up a few friends along the way and dodging witches and flying monkeys all along their journey.

The story was classic with a few modern twists. The GMS production was absolutely wonderful. The music and acting were superb for any age group, but for all to be 12 to 14 years old, was just fabulous. We have two extremely talented individuals in Caponiti and Inman, and I strongly encourage the community to be on the lookout for their next production in the fall.

Let’s pack the auditorium at that time, you will not be disappointed.
