Provided The American Idol bus pulled into Myrtle Beach for a one-day audition fest on Thurs., July 17. At least 2,000 people appeared to try their luck at singing, guitar playing and celebrity watching a look-alike Steven Tyler appeared and walked around during the day. A sand sculpture also featured the current American Idol judges, Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr. Georgetown resident Kelly Fuller took her vintage 60s guitar and sang a Janis Joplin song for her tryout. She did not make the cut, but was pleased with the entire experience and would do it again she says.
