Bids wanted for family day cook-off

Georgetown County Fire/EMS is requesting catering bids for the annual family day cook-off on Oct. 4 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The cook-off will be held at Beck Recreation Center at 2030 Church St. Tables and chairs will be already set up prior to your arrival.

The department will provide the Bar-B-Q. The caterer will be responsible for setting up the food, serving the food (cafeteria style), serving the drinks, and clean up of the food after the event.

This facility does not have a kitchen therefore you will need to have a way to keep the food warm or a way to heat it.

Any food left over will be left at the event not carried back to the catering company.

The event will start at 11 a.m. and the staff will be in the building at this time, the food needs to be ready to serve at noon.

All bids are due to Georgetown County Fire/EMS by 5 p.m. Aug. 4. Any bids received after this date will not be considered.

Proof of insurance must be provided.

This bid will include all products needed to feed 175 peopleand must include:

Plates, drinking cups, napkins, forks, spoons and knives.

Food that will be provided by catering company will include: pileau (chicken, sausage and rice,) baked chicken (leg quarters,) fried chicken (leg quarters,) hot dogs, hotdog buns, chili, ketchup, mustard, mayo, relish, corn on the cob, green beans, banana pudding, dinner rolls, tea, pink lemonade and ice.
