On Friday, July 18 there will be a concert on the lawn at 7 p.m. with Barbara Bailey Hutchison at Brookgreen Gardens.
This Grammy Award-winning singer songwriter has a voice that is familiar to millions of television and radio listeners. She has appeared at the White House three times, has performed throughout the country, and in Japan, Korea, the Philippines, and Thailand.
Also, on Wednesdays through Aug. 7 at 7 p.m. – “Aaron and Theodosia” – Written for Brookgreen Gardens, this historic drama is being presented for the first time in seven years. It is a glimpse into Aaron Burr and Theodosia Burr Alston’s unique relationship and tragic stories, as told through their letters. Featuring a new character, additional dialogue, and period costumes and furnishings, the past truly comes to life with this production.
