Three finalists for the position of principal at Kensington Elementary School have been named, and will be speaking with the public July 21.
Seth Hillman, assistant principal at Georgetown High School, Jamie Thompkins, assistant principal at Kensington Elementary School and Adrienne Watford, assistant principal Andrews Elementary School, were named the three finalists for the position, Georgetown County School District announced July 17.
The district will be holding a forum for the candidates on July 21 at 5 p.m. at Kensington Elementary School on Kensington Blvd. The event is free and the public is encouraged to attend.
The forum will begin with an explanation of the process from Jon Tester, district executive director for human resources, followed by an introduction of the candidates.
Each candidate will be given 10 minutes to address leadership, vision and goals, instruction and discipline.
A “meet and greet” with the public will follow.
Ray White, district director of communications, said there is no specific timeline for selecting the new principal, but the decision will be made following the forum.
Questions and comments regarding the candidates and the forum can be sent to email@example.com.
