Michael David Brunner, 58, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tues., July 15, 2014.
A funeral service will be held on Sat., July 19, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home Northeast Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:15 a.m. at the chapel and after the service at the residence. Burial will be on Sun., July 20, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens, 1640 Pennyroyal Road, Georgetown.
Born in Jacksonville, NC, he was a son of the late Michael Matthew Brunner and Cecilie Jean Landale Brunner. He graduated from Meadville Area Senior High School in Meadville, PA and served his country in the US Navy. After his service he became an assistant golf pro at several clubs in North and South Carolina. Mr. Brunner went back to school and graduated from Horry Georgetown Technical College in Conway. He worked for the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control and retired from the SC Retirement System. Mr. Brunner was an avid golfer and a member of the Woodlands Country Club; he also enjoyed gardening and Carolina Panthers football.
Mr. Brunner was a loving husband, father, brother and friend; he is survived by his wife Wanda Harrelson Brunner; son, Gregory Brunner of Columbia; daughter, Suzanne Brunner of Washington, DC; sisters, Patricia Parcells (Christine Robbins) of Corvallis, OR, Beverly Pfeiffer (John) of Silver Spring, MD, Julie Smith (Walter) of Raleigh, NC; sisters-in-law, Cynthia H. Creel (Allen) of Andrews, Elizabeth Harrelson of Georgetown and numerous nieces and nephews.

Richard Van Vlake
Richard Eric Van Vlake, 43, passed away on Tues., July 15, 2014 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
Born on Dec. 8, 1970, in Columbia he was the son of O. Richard Van Vlake and the late Karen O. Van Vlake. Eric enjoyed playing golf and was an avid Clemson fan and Dallas Cowboys fan. He excelled in basketball having played for Otero College, Coker College and Spartanburg Methodist. All who knew him loved his generous spirit and loving heart. He was a loving son, father, brother and uncle and will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
Survivors include his father of Myrtle Beach; a son, Christopher Davis of Myrtle Beach; three sisters, Allison Van Vlake of Georgetown, Lisa Van Vlake Rowe of Pawleys Island and Denise Van Vlake Judy of Conway; and five nieces.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Fri., July 18, 2014 in the Graham Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
