According to a press release from the agency, 50 Drug Distribution arrest warrants were issued in Georgetown and Horry Counties resulting in 19 arrests.

“The warrants were a result of a year long investigation initiated by the 15th Circuit DEU, assisted by the DEA and SLED, into Heroin sales in Georgetown County, specifically the Pawleys Island section,” the release states. “Agents worked for several months on “Operation Beach Sweep” to obtain the arrest warrants, and a search warrant, that they believe will significantly affect the Heroin distribution in Georgetown County.”
