A Pawleys Island man said his boat trailer was stolen while it was parked at the boat landing at the end of South Island Road in Georgetown Saturday.
Police released a picture of the trailer that was supplied by the victim.
The man said he was out boating for several hours and when he returned around 11:30 p.m., the trailer – which was not hooked to his truck when he left – was gone.
He said another trailer was left next to his truck. He said that trailer was not there when he parked his truck.
The man told police his trailer is a tandem axle aluminum trailer with Hanckle Marine written on it, valued at about $6,000.
A deputy canvassed the area but the trailer was not located.
The Georgetown Police Department also disseminated a picture of the trailer asking anyone with information to call 911.
