Summer soccer league coming to Stables Park

Provided The Pawleys Island Tavern team won the spring soccer league at Stables Park.

The Georgetown County Parks and Recreation Department is looking for soccer players ages 16 and older for a 7-on-7 summer league.

Games will be played on Saturdays at Stables Park in Pawleys Island. Game times will be 8:30, 9:45 and 11 a.m.

Teams must have a minimum of seven players, and can be comprised of men and women.

There will be a at least six games, plus an end-of-season tournament.

Individual players can sign up and be placed on an exisiting team, or if thereís enough, will form a new team. Individuals can also choose to substitutes.

There will be a captainís meeting and general practice session on July 19 from 9 to 11 a.m.

Games begin July 26.

Cost is $200 per team.
