Brookgreen Gardens is presenting “Aaron and Theodosia” on Wednesday evenings through Aug. 6.
Written for Brookgreen Gardens, this historic drama is being presented for the first time in seven years. It is a glimpse into Aaron Burr and Theodosia Burr Alston’s unique relationship and tragic stories, as told through their letters. Featuring a new character, additional dialogue, and period costumes and furnishings, the past truly comes to life with this production.
Friday, July 11 – Concerts on the Lawn – The Travis Allison Band from Charleston will perform material ranging from classic rock and today’s radio hits to Beach, Motown, funk and folk. This full-time touring band has released four original albums and has enjoyed performing throughout the Southeast. Of the band, the Washington Post writes, “…the songs benefit from the sheer quality of writing, whether the tale is impassioned, introspective or inspiring.”
