Camp meeting: Living Word Christian Center will sponsor Campmeeting 2014 July 11 and 12 at MHR Campsite, 64 Jacquelyn Dr., Greentown community. July 11 at 7 p.m. and July 12 at 4 p.m.

Clothes closet: St. Cyprian Clothes Closet, 1905 Front St., Georgetown, will have a Clothes Closet sale from 3 to 5:30 p.m.

Musical Play: The Swamp Fox Players will present the musical “Hairspray” at the Strand Theater, 710 Front St., Georgetown. Performance dates are July 11, 12, 18, 19, 24, 25, and 26 at 8 p.m. There will also be performances on Sunday, July 20 and 27 at 2:30 p.m. All tickets are $18. Saturday, July 12

Greater bibLe way: The Greater Bible Way Church of Georgetown, 1518 Hawkins St., will be having Kidz Connection from 10 a.m. to noon for children six to 12-years-old.

Diabetes CORE: The Georgetown County Diabetes CORE Group presents “Don’t Be A Member Of this Club,” a luncheon, taking place at the Choppee Health Complex Cafeteria at 10 a.m. For information call Florene Linnen at 843-545-8723 ext. 114.

Shag Club: The South Strand Shag Club will meet at 8 p.m .at VFW Post 10420 in Murrells Inlet. Come listen to some great shag tunes and dance the night away with DJ Herb Thompson. Members, guests and visitors are always welcome. Check out the website at www.southstrandsc.com.

Sunday, July 13

Homecoming: The annual homecoming celebration at Arnett AME Church will be held at 10 a. m. Rev. Brian Swinton will deliver the morning message.

Vacation Bible: Pine Crest Baptist Church, 3689 County Line Road, Andrews, will be having Vacation Bible School July 13 to 18 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Supper will be served.

VFW DINNER: VFW Post 6444, its Ladies Auxiliary and guests will have dinner from noon to 2 p.m. Adults, $7; children 6 to 12, $3; and under 5 years of age, free. District 7 Post 6444 Of Georgetown has a hall available for your use. It may be used for family, conferences, town meetings, or whatever your needs are. Contact the VFW at 546-0529.

Greater bibLe way: The Greater Bible Way Church of Georgetown, 1518 Hawkins St., will be having a man-to-man/woman-to-woman ministry at 7 p.m.

CANCER SUPPORT: Education Center at the Georgetown Memorial Hospital from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Call 520-8062.

Tuesday, July 15

Mental Health: The regular meeting of The Waccamaw Center for Mental Health Governing Board is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Waccamaw Center for Mental Health, 525 Lafayette Circle, Georgetown.

library: Wee Wiggler Story Time, Georgetown Library, 10 a.m., stories, music, fingerplays, yoga, ages birth to five. For information call 843-545-3311.

Grief: Hospice Care of South Carolina offers a Grief Group the third Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at The Steward/Parker House on Front Street in Georgetown.

coffee, breakfast: Open to all families of children with special health care needs or disabilities, this group meets at 9:30 a.m. at the Ball & Que Restaurant, 1808 Highmarket St., Georgetown. For information call Minnie Lambert 843-325-4495.

GBA meetings: The GBA will meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month at the Parker-Stewart House on Front St. from 8 to 9 a.m. All merchants are welcome to attend.

Bereavement: A bereavement support group meets twice monthly on the first and third Tuesday of each month from 5 – 6:15 p.m. in the small conference room of Morningside of Georgetown, the assisted living facility at 2628 N. Fraser St. The group is facilitated by Harrison Grey, D.Min., Ph.D., Bereavement Coordinator for Tidelands Community Hospice of Georgetown (546-3410.)

Wednesday, July 16
