Alfresco Georgetown Bistro is the featured restaurant that will participate in “Dining For a Cause” to benefit Miss Ruby’s Kids on Wed., July 23.
Located in the heart of Georgetown at 812 Front St., Alfresco, specializing in Italian and seafood dishes, serves delicious food in a unique and stylish setting.
Whether dining inside, under cover on a side patio, or at the sidewalk seating area, the experience will delight guests who will choose from a wide variety of dishes offered by Chef Eddy Chacon along with his wife Lisa Chacon.
Lunch features a selection of dishes including antipasti with the choice of tuna nachos, mussels, calamari, steamed clams or shrimp each served in a creative and mouth-watering style.
Several entrée salads or a variety of sandwiches will whet the appetite as will pasta atupiacere that features “your choice of pasta served over your choice of sauce.”
Chicken, meatballs, or shrimp may be added to the pasta. Luncheon entrees also offer pork tacos, salmon, lamp chops, and filet.
The dinner menu is extensive and varied.
Served from 4 to 10 p.m., antipasti and salads are available along with exceptional entrees including chicken, veal, pork, pasta, filet mignon and grilled rack of lamb.
Crispy duck with a spicy apricot peach brandy sauce, and several fish entrees featuring flounder, salmon, scallops and pan roasted rainbow trout make decision-making difficult.
Guests may chose to enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail at Chacon’s bar, which offers a small plate menu. The food and atmosphere at Alfresco are refreshingly warm and friendly and the service is prompt and courteous.
Alfresco Georgetown Bistro is open Monday through Saturday for lunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and dinner is served from 4 to 10 p.m. Reservations are suggested and may be made by calling 344-3869.
Alfresco joins a number of area restaurants in “Dining For a Cause” by offering a portion of their day’s proceeds to support the work of Miss Ruby’s Kids, an early childhood literacy program that was founded 11 years ago.
