Patrick Golden finds success at Junior PGA Championship

Patrick Golden, a rising sophomore at Waccamaw High school, finished tied for first in his age group at the Carolinas Junior PGA Championship last weekend.

Golden’s 140 at at Coastal Carolina University’s Hackler Course in Conway was good enough for a tie for second overall in the boys division the tournament.

Golden was not the only standout golfer from Georgetown County in the tournament.

In the girls 13-15 division, Hannah Fesperman of Georgetown finished third.

In the boys 12 and under division, Trace Guyton of Pawleys Island finished tied for sixth and Elijah Fesperman of Georgetown finsihed ninth.

In the boys 13-15 division, Jackson Cole of Pawleys Island finished tied for ninth.

In the boys 16-18 division, Christopher Kaylor of Pawleys Island finished tied for 40th.
