Alfred Thomas

Alfred Thomas, 63, of the Choppee Community in Georgetown died on June 29, 2014 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital, Georgetown.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sat., July 5, 2014 at Nazareth A.M.E. Church, Georgetown, with burial following at the church cemetery.

Viewing will be held at 6 p.m. on Fri., July 4, 2014 at Wilds Courtyard Chapel.

Mr. Thomas was born on May 29, 1951 in New York, NY, a son of Robert Thomas and Thelma Williams. He was reared by Thomas Hughie and was member of Nazareth A.M.E. Church. For several years Mr. Thomas worked in maintenance with Santee Cooper’s substation.

He was married to the former Mary Ladson.

Survivors include, his wife, Mary Ladson-Thomas, Georgetown; one son, Alfred Thomas, Jr., Lexington; one daughter, Nissa Ladson-Gill, Bronx, NY; one brother, Ray A. Hughie, New York, NY; three sisters, Gloria Jones and Beaulah Collins both of Georgetown and Karen Hughie, Atlanta, GA.

Funeral service arrangements are entrusted to Wilds Funeral Home, LLC.
