KGB: Keep Georgetown Beautiful will meet at noon at City Hall. The public is invited to attend. Call 545-4100.

Coast Guard Auxiliary: Flotilla 12-10 of Georgetown meets the first Wednesday of every month. Are you looking for a volunteer position that puts you in touch with the boating community?

Members participate in safety patrols, vessel examinations and safe boating courses. They also attend community events such as the Wooden Boat Show to keep people aware of safe boating practice. Boat ownership is not a requirement.

farmers Market: The Georgetown farmers market at East Bay Park is every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Pawleys Island farmers market at the Waccamaw Regional Recreation Center is every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

music in the park: The Georgetown business association presents the Party favor Band at Francis Marion Park from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

ZONING BOARD: The Zoning Board of Appeals will meet at 5:30 p.m. at County Council Chambers in the Courthouse. Call 545-3158.

WACCAMAW AREA: Waccamaw Neck Area Council will meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Litchfield Exchange Community Room. The public is invited to attend this informational meeting about upcoming Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce events and member benefits.

exercise program: Arnett AME Church, 900 N. Merriman Rd. has an exercise program that meets every Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 8 a.m. Church School is Sundays at 9 a.m. and Worship 10 a.m., Bible Study is Tuesdays 6 p.m. and Mid-week worship is Wednesdays 7 p.m.

Friday, July 4

Concert: Indigo Choral Society will have a concert on the lawn of the Kaminski House at 7 p.m. Bring a chair or a blanket. Watch the city of Georgetown fireworks afterward.

evening celebration: The Fourth Annual Pawleys Island 4th of July Evening Celebration will be held at 6 p.m. inside the Parish Life Center at Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church, 1633 Waverly Road. Doors open at 5 p.m. The event is sponsored by Knights of Columbus Assembly 3272 and Council 11028. Admission is free.

Boat parade: The 31st annual July 4th Boat Parade starts at noon from Garden City Point and then heads on to the Murrells Inlet Marsh Walk.

Flyover: The Salute from the Shore flyover will be passing over the Murrells Inlet Jetty, Litchfield Beach and Pawleys Island from about 1:16.
