Man wanted for SCDOT burglary

  • Friday, June 27, 2014

The Georgetown Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a man wanted for a burglary.

Georgetown Police Capt. Nelson Brown said 22-year-old Michael Anthony Elliott Jr., of 11323 Gapway Road in Andrews, allegedly broke into the South Carolina Department of Transportation construction office on Merriman Road. He said Elliott got away with more than $15,000 worth of items.

Brown said the burglary occurred about two years ago but DNA taken from the scene link Elliott to the crime.

Elliott is wanted for Burglary 3rd and Grand larceny.

Anyone with information about Elliott's location is asked to call the Georgetown Police Department at 843-545-4300 or by calling 911.
