Everson J. Ladson, son of E.B. and Rev. Sandra Ladson of Georgetown, received his Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School on Thurs., May 29.
Ladson grew up in the Sampit community of Georgetown County and is a 2004 graduate of Andrews High School.
He received his Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in finance from Howard University in Washington D.C. in 2008. Ladson then worked in finance in New York before entering Harvard Law School in 2011.
As a student at Harvard Law School, Ladson served as the president of the Harvard Black Law Students Association, as the online managing editor of the Harvard Business Law Review, as an editor of the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review, and as an advocate for low-income housing tenants through the Harvard Tenant Advocacy Project.
He also worked at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C.
In the fall, Everson will join the New York office of an international law firm where he will practice corporate law.
