With the Horry County Council’s decision to fund Coast RTA $1.055 million dollars for Fiscal Year 2015, the management team made plans this week to proceed with hiring up to 24 temporary CDL drivers, plus two Class A – heavy duty diesel mechanics, to assist in launching its Summer Service in July.
Deputy General Manager and Chief Operating Officer Felicia Beaty stressed the importance of the applicants already having their CDL’s, which will kickstart the training and orientation process that drivers need to undergo.
Interested candidates, who already possess a CDL, may apply online at www.coastrta.com or at the Coast RTA office, 1418 Third Ave., Conway. Heavy Duty Diesel engine mechanical experience is preferred for the two mechanics’ positions.
Applicants without a CDL will not be considered at this time. However, all applications will be kept on file for future consideration.
