Update: Coroner's Office identifies man killed in one-vehicle accident

The driver of a truck was killed in a traffic accident that occurred Saturday evening.

The accident happened at 8:46 p.m. on the dirt portion of Brick Chimney Road.

The driver of a 2002 Ford pickup truck was driving east on Brick Chimney Road when he lost control of the vehicle, ran off the left side of the road, struck an embankment and overturned, according to the  South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Deputy Coroner Paulette Radcliffe said the accident victim is 38-year-old Antonio Cortes of Browns Ferry Road. The accident is still under investigation.
