Woman accused of cashing counterfeit check wanted by investigators

A woman accused of cashing a counterfeit check at a Pawleys Island bank last month is wanted by the Sheriff’s Office.

Carrie Cuthbertson, Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman, said it happened May 14 at Conway National Bank.

The suspect is described as a black female in her thirties with shoulder-length black hair, Cuthbertson said.

If anyone can identify the suspect in the attached surveillance photograph or has any information regarding this incident, please contact the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office at 843-546-5101.
