Georgetown’s Will Bellune is safe at third against Socastee.

Georgetown’s Junior American Legion team executed a suicide squeeze and steal of home on June 11, but fell to Socastee 14-5.

Socastee built an 11-0 lead before Georgetown got on the board in the bottom of the third.

Corey Ward and James Carr singled, and Ward scored when Michael Moore reached on an error.

After Carr scored on a wild pitch and Tyler McAlister walked and stole second base, Moore raced home as Drew Williams laid down a bunt to complete the suicide squeeze.

McAlister then stole home to cut the lead to 11-4.

Tyler Baxley drove in Carr in the bottom of the sixth inning for Georgetown’s final run.
