No changes were made with respect to winners for the Georgetown County primary election when votes were certified by the county’s Board of Elections and Registration on June 12.
There were 10 fail safe provisional votes and one challenged ballot added to the vote total.
From the 39 precincts in the county with 43,668 registered voters, there were officially 6,463 ballots cast.
Democratic ballots totalled 1,671 and there were 4,792 Republican ballots.
Voter turnout was at 14.8 percent.
Local winners remained unchanged.
Incumbent Johnny Morant was the winner for County Council District 7 with 401 votes, which equalled 74 percent of the vote.
His challenger, Ben Grate, received 141 votes with 26 percent of the vote.
Steve Goggans was the winner for County Council District 6 with 947 votes with 61.8 percent of the vote.
Incumbent Bob Anderson received 586 votes with 38.2 percent of the vote.
