Griffith joins Times staff

Taylor Griffith

The Georgetown Times is pleased to welcome Taylor M. Griffith to its staff as City Reporter.

A graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and history, Griffith comes to Georgetown from Summerville where she has been a reporter for the Summerville Journal Scene. She is also a freelance writer for Mt. Pleasant Magazine.

She has interned for Practical Horseman, was web reporter for American Journalism Review and editor of Columns, her college newsletter.

She brings with her experience in municipal reporting as well as feature writing.

“We are thrilled to have Taylor round out our exceptional staff of writers,” said Editor A.M. Sheehan. “She is a sound journalist with a delightful personality.”

Griffith will have the City Council and school district beats to begin with.
