To the Editor:

I support County Councilman Bob Anderson for reelection because of his efforts to improve public safety, in particular his efforts to improve law enforcement.

I am a retired FBI Special Agent having served my last nine years in the Myrtle Beach FBI office and have worked closely with Sheriff Lane Cribb and the personnel of the Georgetown County Sheriff’s office. I presently serve as Chairman of the Sheriff’s Department Advisory Board, and I have spoken at a Georgetown County Council meeting for pay increases for the officers and staff. I have witnessed Bob’s hard work and dedication to support Sheriff Cribb and his officers. He has fought for better pay for our officers and the resources they need to keep us safe.

Bob has also fought for better pay for all first responders, including fire fighters and paramedics.

We need Bob Anderson’s proven leadership on public safety on County Council. I urge his reelection.
