American Legion baseball returns to Georgetown County

Memorial Day signaled the beginning of summer and the return of American Legion baseball.

Georgetown County is home to one Senior American Legion team and three Junior American Legion teams, all sponsored by Post 114.

The Senior Legion team is comprised of players and graduates from the county’s high schools. Home games are played at Mike Johnson Park in Georgetown.

The Junior Legion teams are comprised of players from the individual high schools and home games are played at Waccamaw and Andrews High schools, and Mike Johnson Park.
