Students can participate in new Junior shark Tank program

SCORE is partnering with the Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce, Georgetown County School System, and the US Small Business Association and having the first Junior Shark Tank.

SCORE has changed the name of its highly successful student business education program from the “Junior Apprentice Program” to “Business Shark.”

Middle and high school students, in search of a challenging business introduction to business fundamentals, will attend a four day course that includes writing a business plan and producing a 30 second HD commercial for presentation to a local Sharks.

Currently scheduled program for 2014 is as follows:

Georgetown County School System – June 9 to 12.

Mike Steele – Brookgreen Gardens – Manager of Facilities

Jeff Smith – Georgetown Chamber of Commerce – CEO/President

William Furman – US Small Business Administration (SBA) Senior Area Manager

Geales Sands – Bunnelle Foundation – Executive Director
