A man accused of exposing himself to girls at Huntington Beach State Park has been arrested.
Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Carrie Cuthbertson says Patrick M. Krell has been taken into custody in Deland, Florida.
Krell was wanted for an incident which occurred on May 27.
The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office received a Text-A-Tip last night giving information that Krell was in the Deland, Florida area. Once the tip was received, the authorities in Deland were immediately notified.
On Friday morning, Georgetown County Sheriff's Investigators were notified Krell was arrested by the Deland Police Department. Local authorities located Krell in his van and he was taken into custody.
Krell was transported to the Volusia County Jail where he will be housed until he is extradited to Georgetown County.
“Two juvenile female victims notified a relative that a white male exposed himself to them while they were playing near the water. After the relative alerted bystanders, a witness followed the white male who fled the scene north bound on Ocean Highway,” Cuthbertson wrote in a press release. He is charged with two counts of indecent exposure.
