Goggans lives the Neck

To the Editor:

Bob Anderson has been an outstanding County Councilman. He has focused his efforts on the areas that mattered the most: public safety, better roads, fighting “big-box” stores, and cutting wasteful spending.

Bob has worked very hard to make sure our first responders have the equipment and training to do a great job protecting and saving lives. Bob fought to get better pay for these brave fire fighters, sheriff’s deputies, and EMS responders.

Bob is the only candidate who has urged federal transportation planners to give the Southern Evacuation Lifeline road project a higher funding priority. The SELL would reduce traffic congestion and dramatically speed hurricane evacuations.

When “big-box” developers wanted to bring a Walmart to Pawleys Island, Bob successfully led the fight against it, protecting our quality of life. Unfortunately, Bob’s opponent voted to give these Walmart developers an exemption from the rules.

Bob has been relentless is trying to cut wasteful spending from the county’s budget. He’s a true fiscal conservative.

I urge Bob Anderson’s reelection in the Republican Primary on June 10th.
