Learning how to handle emergencies when caring for children is the focus of Georgetown Hospital System’s Safe Sitter Program. Registration is under way for the summer sessions, planned for June 19 and 20 and July 17 and 18 at Wachesaw Conference Center and June 25 and 26 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Designed for boys and girls 11-13 years old, the program teaches safe and nurturing child care techniques, behavior management skills and appropriate responses to medical emergencies. The two-day course is set for 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at both locations. Wachesaw Conference Center is located at 4367 Riverwood Dr. The GMH classes will take place in the education center, located behind the hospital on the GMH campus.
