First Steps, school district honored

The Georgetown Early Learning Council honored Georgetown County School District and Georgetown County First Steps for their efforts in providing quality early learning programs in Georgetown County. This year all Georgetown County elementary schools housed full-day child development programs. The award was presented to Jim Dumm, chairman of the Georgetown County School Board, and district Superintendent Dr. Randy Dozier by Fedrick Cohens, principal of Kensington Elementary School.
