Pamela Berry

Pamela Berry, age 39, of the Plantersville Community, died on Fri., May 16, 2014 while a patient at Vibra Hospital of Charleston.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sat., May 24, 2014 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

Mrs. Berry was born on Oct. 5, 1974, a daughter of Allen Drayton and Ms. Edna Elder.

She attended Georgetown County public schools and was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church where she sang on the Adult Choir.

She worked as a housekeeper with Arcadia Management.

Surviving are her husband, Ellis Berry of Georgetown; five brothers, Herbert Greggs, Lucas Greggs, and Leonard Heyward, all of Georgetown, Keith Drayton of St. Stephens, and Jermaine Wilson of Conway; three sisters, Tawanda Greggs, Veronica Greggs and Lori Heyward, all of Georgetown.

Funeral services are entrusted to Wilds Funeral Home, LLC.

Randy Green

Randy Green, 59, of the Plantersville Community, Georgetown, South Carolina, died on Sunday May 18, 2014 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Fri., May 23, 2014 at Bethel A.M. E. Church in Plantersville conducted by Rev. John Sumpter.

Visitation will take place in the sanctuary of the church on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.

Mr. Green was born on Oct. 17, 1954, a son of Robbie Green and Mrs. Emma Johnson Green.

He attended Georgetown county schools and later completed training in Job Corps.

For a period of time thereafter, he worked in the maintenance department at the Beverly Hotel, Myrtle Beach.

Surviving are two sons, Randy Green Jr. and Patric Green, both of Myrtle Beach; a step-daughter, Faith Grissett of Myrtle Beach; one sister, Carolyn Grate of Georgetown; and two brothers, James and Thomas Green, both of Georgetown.

Funeral services are entrusted to Wilds Funeral Home, LLC.

Trula Greene

Trula Mae Greene, age 74, of the Plantersville Community of Georgetown, died on Sun., May 18, 2014 while a patient at Conway Manor in Conway.

Funeral services for Mrs. Greene will be held at 4 p.m. on Sat., May 24, 2014 at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, conducted by Rev. Ruben Smalls.

Burial follows at the church’s cemetery.

Mrs. Green was born on April 25, 1940 to the marital union of William Dease and Marie Polite Dease.

Her secular education was received in the public schools of Georgetown County and she graduated from Choppee High School.

St. Paul A.M.E. Church was the foundation of her religious training and her membership remained there until her passing.

Her marriage to Franklin Green was blessed with the births and rearing of five children.

Her husband and three sons predeceased her.

Surviving are three children, Othelia Britton and Danielle Greene of Georgetown, and Ronald Greene of Rochester, NY; six brothers, Ervin and Vincent Dease of Georgetown, William Dease Jr., Leroy Dease and Joe Dease of New Haven, CT, Johny Dease of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Mary Dease and Queen D. Funnye of Georgetown.

Funeral service arrangements are entrusted to Wilds Funeral Home, LLC.

Shanyara McFadden

Shanyara McFadden, age 29, of Georgetown died on Fri., May 16, 2014 at the Medical University of South Caroliina Hospital in Charleston.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thurs., May 22, 2014 at First Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Dr. Lorenzo Smalls.

Burial follows at First Calvary Memorial Garden.

Ms. McFadden, fondly known as “Shay,” was born on Sept. 15, 1984 a daughter of Curtis Sheppard and Ms. Joyce McFadden.

In 2002, she graduated from Georgetown High School and was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church.

She was employed by Walmart Corporation as a manager in the electronics department.

Surviving are her parents, Joyce McFadden of Georgetown and Curtis Sheppard of Sumpter; two sisters, Alexandria McFadden of Columbia, Amber Linen of Georgetown; a cousin of Myrtle Beach, Audregis Johnson (who was reared as a brother); and her maternal grandmother, Myrtis Johnson of Georgetown.
