Cornerstone Baptist Church vandalized

  • Sunday, May 18, 2014

When members of Cornerstone Baptist Church arrived for services this morning, they discovered their church at the corner of Brick Chimney and Johnson Roads had been vandalized. As church services were set to begin, investigators from the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office were on the scene taking photos of the damage and processing the scene for evidence. One officer reported via radio he would be on the scene for quite a while. The church placed the following message on its Facebook page this morning: Please be in prayer for us at the Cornerstone Baptist Church. Our church was extensively vandalized last night and our hearts are broken. We have requested additional information from the Sheriff's Office and will pass that along when it is received.
