Local attorney sworn in as assistant municipal court judge for City of Georgetown

Clayton Stairs/South Strand News Judge Robbie O’Donnell swore in Amy Armstrong as an assistant municipal court judge for the City of Georgetown on Tuesday. O’Donnell said Armstrong will be the first woman to sit on the bench as a judge in the City of Georgetown in at least 38 years. Armstrong will fill in for O’Donnell when he has a conflict. Armstrong is the executive director and general counsel for the South Carolina Environmental Law Project (SCELP), a non-profit public interest law firm dedicated to protection of the South Carolina environment.
