Maggie Davis, age 66, of Georgetown
Elaine Veronica James Fitzgerald, age 97, of Georgetown died Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Agape Rehabilitation of Conway.
Born and raised in Apalachicola, Fla. on Nov. 5, 1916, Mrs. Fitzgerald was a daughter of the late Emanuel James and Annie Martina James.
She retired from the Dept. of Commerce in 1975.
Mrs. Fitzgerald enjoyed playing bridge and was a great animal lover.
She was a member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son, Oliver Cooper (Patricia) of Georgetown; two grandsons; and a sister-in-law, Ann Estes of Florida.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fitzgerald was predeceased by her first husband, Elgie Lee Cooper; her second husband of 59 years, Isaiah Y. Fitzgerald; and four brothers.

William Jayroe Sr.
William Edwin “Bubba” Jayroe Sr., age 86, of Georgetown died Saturday, May 03, 2014, at his residence.
Mr. Jayroe was born in Georgetown on October 24, 1927, a son of the late Peter Columbus Jayroe and Pearl Florence Skinner Jayroe. He grew up on Benvenue Plantation and graduated from Winyah High School.
Mr. Jayroe was a former employee of SCDNR and a former manager of both Dirleton Plantation and Milton Hall Plantation, where he worked for 40 years.
He was an avid outdoorsman and spent most of his time in and around the Pee Dee River. Mr. Jayroe took six mission trips during his lifetime, mostly in the Caribbean.
Surviving are his wife, Annie Faye Jordan Jayroe of Georgetown; two sons, William Edwin Jayroe (Carol) and Rev. Richard C. Jayroe (Linda), both of Georgetown; six grandchildren, Tiffany J. Watts, Carla Brandon, Davis Jayroe, Cyndel Dangerfield, Ashley Burrows, and John David Burrows; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Col. J. Skinner Jayroe of San Antonio, Texas and Richard “Dickie” Jayroe of Georgetown; and two sisters, Mildred J. Truay of Charleston and Juanita J. Bassett of Richmond, Va.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Jayroe was predeceased by: a daughter, Cynthia Burrows; a sister; and four brothers.
Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2014, at Herbert Memorial United Methodist Church. Officiating was the Rev. Marie Knuckles.
The family received friends on Sunday afternoon, May 4, 2014, at the Church from 3 to 5 p.m.

Robert W. Morano, age 64, of Georgetown, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2014 at Tidelands Community Hospice House after a long illness.
Mr. Morano was the beloved husband of Marcia Sue Morano of Georgetown. He was born in Newark, N.J. on Feb. 25, 1950.
He was graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
He enjoyed golfing, fishing, cooking and spending time with his grandchildren.
Besides his wife, Mr. Morano is survived by four children, Robert N. Morano (Stephanie) of Nebraska, Pete G. Morano of Georgetown, Nick R. Morano of Georgetown, and Holly S. Couch (George) of Georgetown; four grandchildren; and a mother-in-law.
A Celebration of Life Services will be private.

Linen-Knox Funeral Home announces the funeral services for Whinter Hope Robinson, age 21, of Myrtle Beach, who died Thursday, May 1, 2014 at her residence.
Mrs. Robinson was the daughter of Kesia T. Robinson Dozier of Georgetown and Jerry Williams of Hemingway; and the granddaughter of J.D. Williams and Margaret Williams, both of Hemingway.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in the Dunbar Community of Georgetown, with the Rev. Dr. Eddie Gamble Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The remains will lie in state in the sanctuary of the church from 11 a.m. until the hour of service.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Linen-Knox Funeral Home Chapel.
Survivors include her mother of Georgetown; her great-grandmother and legal guardian, Athalie Bacote of Myrtle Beach; a sister, Whitney Joy Robinson of Georgetown; a brother, Theodore Robinson II of Florida; two great aunts, Ernestine T. Saunders of Norfolk, Va. and Josie Braswell of Atlanta, Ga.; one uncle, Ralph maynard III of Hemingway, S.C.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
