In the past, the Motherís Day program has been county-wide. However this year, it will be city-wide as a final year of celebration.

As chairman of the Motherís Day program, Franklin McCray has expressed his appreciation for all the cooperation and support received over the past 46 years. The commitment and support of the following sponsors have had a tremendous impact on the lives of many individuals, he said.

This year mothers who are at least 100-years-old will be honored. They are Mrs. Pauline LaGree, 103; Mrs. Marthena McCant, 102 and Mrs. Rebecca Izard, 100.

Each of them will receive a dollar value according to their age.

Four mothers between the ages of 99- and 60-years-old will be randomly selected to receive a 46-inch or 32-inch television.

Other mothers will also receive gifts. The Mother of Dickinson Church will also receive a token of appreciation.
