Two people were arrested by the local Drug Enforcement Unit Friday after officers responded to a report of criminal activity at the Murrells Inlet Boat Landing.
Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Carrie Cuthbertson said Hunter Strickland, 22, of 17 Marsh View Marina, Murrells Inlet was charged with Possession With Intent to Distribute Oxycodone, Possession With Intent to Distribute Oxycontin,
Possession With Intent to Distribute Alprazolam, and Possession With Intent to Distribute Xanax.
Michael Ford, 23, of 15 Partiridge Lane, Georgetown was charged with Possession With Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession With Intent to Distribute Xanax,
Possession with Intent to Distribute Alprazolam, Possession With Intent to Distribute
Methamphetamine Salts, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Oxycodone.
“Agents seized several hundred pills, over 130 grams of high grade marijuana, packaging materials, two loaded handguns and a loaded assault rifle. The estimated street value of the drugs seized is over $10,000 in cash,” Cuthbertson states.
Both men were transported to the Georgetown County Detention Center.
