Rotary breakfast raises $2,113

  • Tuesday, April 29, 2014

The purpose of this year’s Rotary Club breakfast was to help raise money for various projects.

Approximately 150 guests gathered for this year’s Annual Georgetown Breakfast Rotary Club Pancake Breakfast held at Beef O’Brady’s, raising $2,113 for various projects.

The event was an opportunity for both families and individuals to enjoy breakfast selections and the company of neighbors while supporting the Rotary Club.

The purpose of this year’s breakfast was to help raise money for various projects organized by the Georgetown Breakfast such as the Dictionary Project (providing local elementary school students with their own dictionary), Rotary International Foundation, Polio Plus (Eradication of Polio), Clear Water for the World, local charity support, and annual scholarships for local students.

Beef O’Brady’s donated the use of the restaurant and provided servers.

“We sincerely appreciate the many volunteers who participated, the owner and staff of Beef O’Brady’s, our club members, and to all who attended the event making the pancake breakfast a success,” said Club President Kalib Moyer.

The Georgetown Breakfast Rotary Club was founded in 1986. The club’s members are civic-minded local professionals and business people.

Georgetown Breakfast Rotary Club meetings are held every Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. at Beef O’Brady’s in Georgetown. All meetings are open to the public.
