Dance Company and Music Theatre showcase to be held at CCU

Coastal Carolina University’s Musical Theatre Company and Dance Company will present their spring showcase of musical and contemporary dance styles on Sunday, April 27, at 3 and 7 p.m. in Wheelwright Auditorium. General admission tickets are $5.

Some of the featured songs will include “Hound Dog,” “Some Days you Gotta Dance” by The Dixie Chicks, Johann Pachabel’s “Canon in D” and various songs from the musical “42nd Street.”

The Dance Company performers are Katherine Brown, Melissa Cabey, Shelby Dangerfield, Conor Devoe, Gaby Harker, Drew Hardy, Tyler Keller, Michael Lawrence, Laura Pierpont, Meagan Sharp, Dejuan Thompson, Eric Waters, Lexi Wolfort and Taylor Wright.

Becky Timms, assistant professor of theatre, is the director of the event.

Tickets for CCU/HGTC students, faculty and staff are $3; children are admitted free with an adult.

Wheelwright Auditorium is located at 108 Spadoni Park Circle on the CCU campus in Conway.
