Pawleys Lions donate to Miss Ruby’s Kids

provided Pawleys Island Lions Club treasurer Rick Steighner, left, and Lion president Rick Senatore, right, present a check to Betsy Marlow, executive director of Miss Ruby’s Kids. Marlow made a presentation to the Pawleys Island Lions Club updating them on the growth of the Miss Ruby’s Kids program. Pawleys Island Lions Club continues to support education through its funding of the Ron Ward Memorial Scholarship Fund and its support of local non-profits. Miss Ruby’s Kids is a unique early childhood literacy program that begins working with 2- and 3-year-old children and parents/caregivers in their homes to inspire a passion for learning, and continues to support the children when they reach school age through its voluntary education mentor program.
