Chris Sokoloski/Times Waccamaw High’s Curtis Lawing is safe at third against Aynor.

Waccamaw High’s baseball team beat Mullins 15-0 on Monday night to clinch a playoff spot.

The Warriors will likely open the playoffs with a trip to Andrews.

Against the Auctioneeers, every Warrior got a hit, except for two pitchers who did not play.

Curtis Lawing went 3-for-3 with three RBIs; J.C. Tolson went 2-for-2 with two RBIS; and Will Golden went 2-for-2 with an RBI.

Sophomore Carter Fox went five innings to pick up his first varsity win. He scattered two hits and one walk and struck out six.

The Warriors were looking to rebound after losing to Dillon and Aynor last week. It was a “stressful week,” according to coach Jeff Gregory, having to play the top teams in the region three nights in a row.

Against the Blue Jackets, Levi Almond went 2-for-4 with and RBI and Jack Monroe went 2-for-4.

Waccamaw hosts Andrews tonight, which is senior night.

Gregory plans to start all 10 of his seniors, nine in the field and one as the designated hitter.
