Notice to city residents regarding garbage collection on Good Friday, April 18
Due to Georgetown County landfill closing in observance of Good Friday, the City of Georgetown Sanitation Department will suspend residential garbage collection on Friday, April 18. Customers who normally receive residential collections on Tuesday and Friday should not place roll-out containers out on Friday April 18. Normal residential collection will resume on Tuesday, April 22.
Curbside debris, recycling and commercial garbage collection for the downtown business district are not affected and will be collected as usual.
Georgetown County government offices and facilities will be closed on Good Friday, April 18.
