Porcher sworn in to Air National Guard

Provided Jamia Ashanique Porcher was officially sworn in as a member of the South Carolina Air National Guard on Wednesday, April 9. Jamia, a senior and honor student, chose to have this official ceremony conducted at Georgetown High School in which she attended for four years. She credits the faculty and staff for preparing her for this opportunity. Upon completion of her initial military training, Jamia has been accepted and will attend Clemson University and major in business with a minor in accounting.Major Larry Odom, a guidance counselor at Georgetown High School who is also a Major in the South Carolina Army National Guard, conducted the official ceremony accompanied by Mr. Craig Evans, principal, Technical Sergeant Marcheita Graham, and Nina M. Zegler, Grandmother.
