Two free information sessions about Coastal Carolina University’s new Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (MALS) degree program are scheduled for Wednesday, April 23 at 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. at CCU’s Litchfield Education Center.
Designed for students who seek a broad educational experience, the MALS program employs interdisciplinary approaches to examine a wide range of topics and issues. The 30-hour program has a required four-course core, with six electives from CCU’s graduate offerings. This program will enable students to improve their written and verbal communications skills in multiple contexts, and develop critical thinking abilities in various disciplines.
The information sessions will be led by Donald Sloan, Ph.D., director of the MALS program and professor of music at CCU. The session will last approximately one hour, and refreshments will be served.
The Litchfield Education Center is located at 14427 Ocean Highway at Litchfield Landing.
For more information about the sessions, call 349-6584. For information about the MALS program, contact Sloan at 349-2192, firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit the website at http://www.coastal.edu/humanities/mals/.
