Acie Burleson spent Palm Sunday sharing his faith through the streets of Georgetown

Georgetown resident Acie Burleson spent Palm Sunday sharing his faith by carrying a cross through the streets of the city. Carlson walked from South Island Road to the Walmart area and back. Although he has carried the cross in other places, it was the first time he has done it in Georgetown. “I have been called to be a walking memorial before God. I plan in making more trips with it. We will be going towards Texas next week with it. I hope to just show Jesus and His great love for us,” Burleson said. When asked about the reaction he receives from the public, Burleson said it is mainly positive. “There are a lot of pics and thumbs up. I had one guy give me an ice cream sandwich and another bottled water. A young boy even offered to carry it for me,” he said.
