Each month the faculty of Georgetown High School nominates students for the honor of Students of the Month.
The nominees are then placed on a ballot according to grade level, and the faculty votes.
Students are usually nominated because of their good character traits and overall well-rounded personalities. Each teacher votes for the students for different reasons, but the purpose is to celebrate the positive behavior of students.
Students may not be nominated if they have any discipline infractions.
Their pictures are framed and hung in a display case in the Joe Isaac Student Center for the duration of the month.
