Georgetown Police officer and civilian employee of the year named

Georgetown Police Chief Paul Gardner announced the 2013 Officer of the Year, Sergeant Jason Ward and the Civilian Employee of the Year, Wanda Lewis.

The employees were honored at a breakfast held at the Department on Thursday.

Sgt. Ward is assigned to the Criminal Investigation Section as the CID supervisor. He is charged with the responsibility of managing the Criminal Investigation Unit.

Mrs. Lewis is responsible for the management of the Department’s Record Section.

Chief Gardner commented he was proud to make the awards and commended Sgt. Ward and Mrs. Lewis for their dedication to duty and their hard work.

The two employees were nominated and selected by the men and women of the Georgetown Police Department.
