Four men have been charged in connection with a robbery that was reported April 1 in the

parking lot of the Islander in Pawleys Island.

Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Carrie Cuthbertson identified the suspects as Brandon Charles Greene, 19, of 300 Skeeter Lane, Walterboro; Eugene Ivy Medders, 31, of 6243 Bevington Road, Hollywood, South Carolina; John Clifton Morris, 41, of 7591 Sidney’s Road, Round O; and Zachary Alexander Morris, 21, of 20 Guerry Circle, Goose Creek.

All four are charged with one count of Assault By Mob, Third Degree and one count of Common Law Robbery.

Cuthbertson said two men were assaulted when the suspects walked over to them and began a conversation.

“One suspect stated he lost his wallet and then all four suspects assaulted one of the victims. The second victim came to the aide of the first victim before the suspects fled in an unknown vehicle and an unknown direction of travel,” Cuthbertson states.

The investigation led authorities to the named suspects, Cuthbertson said.
