Ray Funnye, County Director of public works speak to students at Georgetown Airport

The STEM group of Carvers Bay High visited Peddinghaus, a steel fabricating plant in Andrews on April 4. The tour of the facilities included a walk-through of the welding shop, machine shop, and watching the workers on the job. The students were intrigued and received such rich knowledge of how the company works. The trip ended with a tour of Georgetown Airport where Ray Funnye gave a presentation on the responsibilities of the Department of Public Works for the county of Georgetown. The students were able to speak with the other managers, engineers, etc. from the county and ask questions which will help them write their proposals and complete their moviemaker presentations.
