High school wrapup

The boys tennis team shut out North Myrtle Beach 7-0 last week.

In singles, Britton Bellamy won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1; Coste Duvall won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2; Ethan Smith won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3; Noah Johnson won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4; and Caleb Bellamy won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5.

In doubles, Brent Glasgow and Robert Warstler won 8-2 at No. 1; and Chase Mullin and Amit Patel won 8-0 at No. 2.

The boys golf team lost 155-158 to Waccamaw last week.

Ryan Case shot a 35 for the low round for the Braves.

Other Socastee scores: Brady Lane 38, Nick Dollinger 42, Ben brooks 43.

The softball team lost 2-0 to Myrtle Beach last week.

Taylor Fitzmaurice went 2-for-3 for the Lady Braves.

Savanna Talley took the loss.

St. James

Morgan Marlowe threw a no-hitter to lead the softball team to a 21-0 win over Wilson last week.

Rebecca Israel went 3-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs; Alysa Ayala went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs; and Hayley Reigel went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs.

The boys tennis team fell 5-2 to Wilson last week.

Jeffrey Dayton won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1 singles and picked up an 8-5 doubles win with Thomas Leonard.


The boys golf team beat Socastee last week.

Patrick Golden shot a low round of 35 to lead the Warriors.

Other Waccamaw scores: Adam Woolridge 38; Michael English 41, Davis Hogan 41.

The softball team lost 3-2 to Dillon last week.

Emily Heimberger had two hits and Nina Lowenbach had a double and an RBI.
