On Tuesday, Tidelands Community Hospice, in cooperation with Georgetown Memorial Hospital, will host the Hospice Foundation of America’s 21st snnual Living With Grief program entitled “Helping Adolescents Cope with Loss.”

The free event will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Georgetown Memorial Hospital Education Center Conference Room.

Continuing education contact hours (three CEs) are available to professionals for a nominal fee.

In this live teleconference, simultaneously viewed across the nation in healthcare settings, national experts discuss the topic of end-of-life care as it pertains to adolescents dealing with bereavement. This event is well suited to all professionals working in the field of end-of-life care (doctors, nurses, social workers, chaplains, grief counselors, home health aides, funeral directors, etc.) as well as those who deal with end-of-life matters affecting adolescents (school teachers, guidance counselors, school administrators, professional counselors, marriage and family therapists, mental health workers, public safety workers, etc.).

It would also be of interest to those who volunteer in settings that deal with end-of-life issues.

Pre-registration is not required. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early for sign-in and seating.

If there are questions regarding this event, contact Harrison Grey, PhD, bereavement coordinator, Tidelands Community Hospice, Inc. 843-546-3410.
